This writing assignment prompted me to explain the importance of language in the development of social relationships. In my report, I discuss how language is a fluid body that gives culture physical form. Furthermore, I elucidate how learning another language has enriched my perspective and facilitated a connection between personal and social growth.

 

Critical thinking is not something new to me; however, this class challenged me to further my analysis skills and articulate them in a foreign language in a way that I had never done before. Through these weekly writing assignments, I learned how to shift my thoughts towards an idea synthesis process that was directly in Spanish.
